Free dinner served. The entire event is free and the public is welcome!

KINDERGARTEN COUNTDOWN ACTIVTIES ARE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!
3 Easy Steps to Participating in Kindergarten Countdown:
- From June 1st, 2010 until school starts, visit any branch of the Louisville Free Public Library.
- Get a free T-shirt for any child starting kindergarten in the fall (child must be present). T-shirts are not available at the events!
- Attend any of the Kindergarten Countdown events below and wear the Kindergarten Countdown T-shirt with pride!
- Speed Art Museum - Saturday, June 19th, 2010, Noon to 3:00 p.m. Children wearing their T-shirts and one adult will get in free to the museum including a visit to ArtSparks.
- Walden Theatre - "Alice in Wonderland"June 18, June 25, July 23, July 30 & Aug. 6, 2010. Children wearing their T-shirts and one adult will be admitted free of charge. All other tickets are available for $5 each. To reserve a seat to Grimm's Tales, contact Dan Welch at 589-0084 or danwelch@waldentheatre.org.
- Calypso Cove at the Northeast Family YMCA -Last Names A-L: Thursday, June 17th, 2010, Last Names M-Z: Thursday, June 24th, 2010, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Kindergarten children and their immediate family get free admission.
- Louisville Zoo - Friday, June 25th, 2010, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (twilight hours). Children wearing Kindergarten Countdown T-shirts plus one adult get in free.
- Kentucky Derby Museum - July 17th, 2010, 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Children wearing their T-shirts and one adult will get in to the museum free. Families arriving at 9:30 a.m. will be able to see the horses work out on the track!
- Slugger Field - Tuesday, July 27th, 2010, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is the annual Kindergarten Countdown grand finale event that will feature various community organizations, representatives from the school systems, and lots of cool, free stuff for kindergarteners. Children wearing their T-shirts and one adult will be admitted to the game free of charge.
- Louisville Science Center - Saturday, July 31st, 2010, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free admission for children wearing their T-shirts plus one adult.

SMOKETOWN HOME REPAIR OPPORTUNITY!
Habitat for Humanity and Making Connections are collaborating on a project to repair home exteriors on houses in Smoketown. The person requesting repairs must own the house and must be a Making Connections Network member. The homeowner receiving the repairs must agree to attend Making Connections Network Nites and volunteer their time helping with Making Connections and/or Habitat. In addition, the homeowner must attend at least four classes: one on predatory lending, one on the Making Connections network, and two to be arranged with the homeowner.
